Working in a hostile work environment is what I’ve been doing for the past several years. I’ve been dealing with a lot of workplace issues that many other people are also dealing with but may be afraid to talk about due to feeling humiliated. It is not always good to keep things that happen to you silent. A lot of people are afraid to talk about workplace harassment, discrimination, retaliation and defamatory reports filed against them, because they fear backlash from their employers. Because I’m tired of all the bullshit on my job, I’m not going to go away quietly and allow people to get away with defamatory statements made against my character and professional reputation, which causes mental anguish as well as a hostile work environment.

Recently, a customer complaint was filed against me alleging that I made a number of statements, which I know I never said. I’m very angry and am trying to cope with the latest defamatory statements made against me. I feel like I’m in a losing battle no matter what I say or do to defend myself against false allegations. The reason why I feel I don’t have a member of management in my corner is because none of them respect me. If I was one of their pets and kissed ass, then perhaps they’d have a different opinion about me.

I think management feel they don’t have to respect the workers, and this has been the crux of the problem I’ve had with management in the workplace. In addition, there have been many times in which I’ve had to literally ignore or walk away from customers and keep the peace because I knew that management would’ve fired me. If I really reacted to every customer and member of management that accused me of alleged misconduct and also caused me to suffer mental anguish, I wouldn’t be employed right now. I would’ve either allowed these workplace problems to cause me to resign or I would’ve snapped under the pressure of having to work in such an oppressive and depressive environment. This is why you need to make better choices for yourself and for your future earlier in life while you’re still a kid, so you can have many options later in life. Having various options means having the freedom to walk away at any given time from a hostile work environment, and not have to settle for the bullshit that people want to put you through because they feel they have power over you and don’t have to respect you. In the real world, people will fuck with you if they feel they can control and manipulate you. They’re just like the schoolyard bullies who used to harass me all the time at the public schools I attended. Those same schoolyard bullies are now your co-workers and managers. If you fight back against these bullies in the workplace, you can expect to receive backlash.

It is within human nature to be manipulative, controlling, territorial, abusive, confrontational and vengeful. This is why the United States Government bullies the Muslim world, why women are being raped and murdered every day, why there are school shootings, why there are church shootings, why religious people have so much hatred for those who do not share their views, why Christians are so intolerant of atheists, and why I’m having to deal with these latest defamatory accusations against me. Because my job mainly consists of dealing with the public, I’ve been subjected to various complaints from customers. In fact, I was almost terminated last year due to a couple of customer complaints that were filed against me on the same day. I was reprimanded and taken off duty for an entire month. In addition, I’ve dealt with retaliation from managers because I’ve been opinionated about rude customers, unfair disciplinary action against me, slanderous and misleading customer complaints, safety issues, not getting adequate meal breaks, etc.

There have been times when I haven’t used good judgment in certain job-related issues. I’m currently paying for that even now. I can’t say that I won’t make another mistake, because human beings do stupid things. But I sure as hell will watch what I say and how I say it around people in the workplace. I understand that everyone does not share my views and I can’t expect them to. Freedom of speech is a thing of the past as I have come to clearly realize these past few days. Therefore, I will take every precaution to keep certain comments to myself while in the workplace regarding politics, religion, and any news-related event. That way, a complaining customer won’t have a leg to stand on in the event he or she files a false allegation of employee conduct against me.
