Erie County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz announced that a tentative agreement for a successor collective bargaining agreement has been reached between Erie County, the Erie County Sheriff and the Police Benevolent Association (“PBA”). The PBA currently has approximately 140 members in the Sheriff’s Office.

“I want to thank the PBA leadership for coming to the table and negotiating in good faith, understanding the financial realities facing Erie County and being willing to work together to craft this tentative agreement,” said Poloncarz. “This agreement will now be presented to membership for their decision.”

The proposed agreement covers the period between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2016. A vote on the agreement is expected to take place this week.
