President Obama’s appearance at Alumni Arena on the University at Buffalo North Campus on Thursday morning will be free and open to the public, but tickets will be required for admission.

A portion of the tickets is being allocated for University at Buffalo students, faculty and staff, who can sign up for a ticket through an online lottery — students here and faculty and staff here.

The lottery sites will be open through 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Those receiving the nontransferable tickets – one per person – will be notified by noon Tuesday, according to the UB website.

Members of the public can pick up their free tickets – also one ticket per person – at the Alumni Arena box office on the UB campus starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday. They will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Doors for Thursday’s event will open at 9 a.m.
