Building off a strong performance in the primary, today Democrat Marc Panepinto received the endorsements of top Western New York elected officials during a rally with dozens of community leaders and supporters at his campaign headquarters. Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, Congressman Brian Higgins, and Senator Tim Kennedy joined together to endorse and unify leading Democrats behind Panepinto’s campaign the 60th Senate District.
“I’m proud to have the support of leading advocates for Western New York as we work together to make our communities a better place to live, work, and raise a family,” said Democrat Mark Panepinto. “Today is another step towards giving our Senate district the voice we need to raise the minimum wage, protect women’s rights, and bring good paying jobs back to Western New York. I’ve spent my career fighting for our communities, and I will continue this fight even more vigorously in Albany.”
“I’m proud to stand with my friend Marc Panepinto. As a Senator, I know Marc will fight as tenaciously for his constituents as he has for his clients over many years,” said County Executive Poloncarz.
Prior to taking the office of Mayor of Buffalo in 2006, Mayor Brown served as the State Senator representing the 60th Senate District; the same district Panepinto is running for. “Throughout my career as Mayor and State Senator representing the 60th District, I have become acutely aware of what makes up a great leader,” said Mayor Brown. “Marc is passionate about his community and advocating for hard working men and women. He is the type of person we need more of in Albany.”
Congressman Brian Higgins offered his endorsement of Panepinto at the rally. “Marc is issue oriented. He sees problems and isn’t afraid to work to fix them. Marc will work for all Western New Yorkers in Albany because he understands our region’s needs.”
“Marc is the partner I need in the State Senate to continue the tremendous progress and momentum we have seen in Buffalo and Western New York,” said Senator Kennedy. “He understands the needs of our community. Whether it’s keeping our children and families safe, continuing to grow the economy and create jobs, or repairing our crumbling roads and bridges, I know Marc will be a strong, progressive ally in Albany.”
Marc Panepinto resides in the City of Buffalo. He lives with his wife and is the proud father of three daughters. He is a graduate of the University of Buffalo Law School and is a founding partner of Dolce Panepinto P.C.
