Buffalo, N.Y., November 21st, 2014 – Dirty Smile, the rockpopsoul outfit from the heart of rust belt realness,– has just completed their first E.P. effort titled, “Love Songs for the Damned: Volume 1” and this release event will be taking place on December 6th 2014 at Buffalo Iron Works. The event starts at 8pm. Tickets are $5 for Admission or $10 – which includes Admission, a copy of the E.P., and a merchandise package (while supplies last). Special Guests for that night are Reggie Childs and Master of Ceremonies: Eddie Woo.

“Love Songs for the Damned: Volume 1” is a six song endeavor that was recorded in the summer of 2014 at GCR Audio in Buffalo, N.Y. by Head Studio Engineer Justin Rose. The band was introduced to Canada’s legendary singer/songwriter/producer Ron Hawkins (of Lowest of the Low, The Rusty Nails, and Ron Hawkins and the Do Good Assassins) after his September 26th gig at Buffalo’s The Tralf. Ron had this to say about songs on the soon to be released effort and the band itself, “When I first heard the band, I was struck by the diversity of influences I thought I could hear…a great blend of classic and contemporary, I love bands like that…it’s a bit of a perfect storm to be able to tap into classic mojo but with a contemporary spin…”

2014 has been a memorable year for Dirty Smile. Earlier in the year they won the regional Hard Rock Rising 2014 competition representing Hard Rock Cafe Niagara Falls USA. The Global Hard Rock Rising competition saw Dirty Smile garner enough votes to finish in the Top 3 out of 10,000 hopefuls.

Dirty Smile went on to play at Buffalo Outer Harbor opening for Weezer during the summer for WEDG 103.3 The Edge’s annual Edgefest. They also opened for the front man for STYX, Dennis DeYoung, at Gratwick Park for the Niagara River Rocks Concert series.  Dirty Smile will end a busy 2014 on New Years Eve as they are slated to play with Canadian rock band Theory of a Deadman at the annual outdoor Hard Rock New Year’s Eve Guitar Drop in Niagara Falls, New York.

The artwork for “Love Songs for the Damned: Volume 1” was created specifically for the band by regional artist, Dan Predmore. Predmore’s art can be found displayed in businesses and residential homes around the world. His pieces have been presented to William Jefferson Clinton, City Mayors, Senators, Congressmen, the FBI, US Attorney’s Office, and Universities.
