Today, the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) added its name to a growing list of labor unions that has endorsed Amber Small for State Senate in the 60th Senate District.
“The New York State Nurses Association is proud to endorse Amber Small for State Senate,” said Marva Wade, RN, NYSNA 1st Vice-President and Chairperson of the NYSNA-PAC. “NYSNA is confident that Amber has the determination needed to fight for New York’s middle class as well as for working families in the State Senate. Amber has continually proven herself a strong advocate for New York’s communities and will continue fighting for them in the legislature.”
“I’m proud to have the support of NYSNA, an organization whose members have dedicated their lives to compassionately caring for all of us in our times of need,” said Amber in response to the endorsement. “NYSNA not only represents the interests of its members, but has led the fight to improve the lives of all hard working New Yorkers by supporting initiatives such as Paid Family Leave, raising the minimum wage, and creating safe work spaces. As a State Senator, I look forward to working with NYSNA to grow the middle class and ensure that New York State remains a great place to work, live, raise a family, and retire.”
