To think in just a few short weeks (21 days) we will be in the season of Lent and with that comes one of the busiest seasons at the Broadway Market. As a young girl I remember going to the Market on a weekly basis with my Dad and Brother. We would start at the Market to get the food we needed for the week before heading to the news stand on the corner of Fillmore and Broadway to look at the new comic books that might have come in.
Fast forward to 25 years later and I still enjoy going to the Market with my Dad not only during the Lent season (we normally go on Good Friday), but we stop in from time to time throughout the year. I always like walking around the whole venue when I’m there, but there are a couple places I always have to stop at and they are:
- MAZUREKS BAKERY Hours: Monday – Saturday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
- LUPAS MEATS (716) 892-4809 Hours: Monday – Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- POTTS DELI Hours: Wednesday – Saturday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
- GRIDLOCK LACQUER Saturdays
I’d love to hear from you, what are some of your favorite memories of the Broadway Market and what are some of your favorite or must go to places when you pay a visit there?
