SCHOENEMAN RAISES OVER $16,000 IN FIRST MONTH OF CAMPAIGN; FILES 1,500 SIGNATURES

Erie County Legislator Candidate Michelle Schoeneman announced her campaign had raised over $16,000 in the first four weeks since announcing her candidacy while also filing over 1,500 petition signatures with the Erie County Board of Elections. The immense level of support is a clear sign that the candidate’s platform focused on the middle class has resonated with the voters of the 10th District.

“I am honored and humbled by the outpouring of support I have received over the first month of my campaign from the great people of the 10th District and all over Erie County,” said the grassroots candidate who has earned endorsements from the Democratic and Working Families parties. “It is clear as I go door to door each day that voters are hungry for change and want someone representing them who understands the issues impacting their everyday lives; someone who will be their voice in government. The Erie County Legislature must do everything it can do to assist the middle class, from improving our roads to lowering taxes. We need programs and resources that work for people, not politicians.”

Schoeneman added, “I am a middle class teacher, community leader and mother who will fight for ALL of the hard working people of our community. For too long the 10th district has been represented by someone who cares only about the wealthy elite while ignoring the issues impacting working-class residents. Our community deserves better.”
