The buzz about Buffalo continues to build; the Queen City of the Great Lakes has been named one of the 52 Places to Travel in 2018 by the New York Times.

Each year, the Times picks 52 places around the world that are particularly timely to visit based on new developments and other factors. The resurgence of Buffalo catapulted it into an eclectic list that includes other global locations such as Oslo, Norway; Fiji; Tasmania and Iceland as well as American cities like Cincinnati and Branson, Missouri. The Times last included Buffalo on its annual list in 2009.

“Buffalo is making a big comeback in large part by re-purposing its historic buildings and long dormant grain silos,” The Times noted. “Downtown Buffalo now buzzes with life thanks in part to the ever-expanding Canalside entertainment and recreation complex and a host of new dining and drinking establishments.”
