    Great for community service hours!

Join the Aquarium of Niagara in helping to keep our waterways and oceans clean by participating in a beach cleanup along Lake Ontario’s shoreline. We will meet at Fort Niagara State Park, in the northernmost parking lot near the swimming pool. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and to expect to get a little dirty. We will provide the gloves and materials to gather debris, as well as treats and beverages to help you refuel. The event will be held rain or shine.

This cleanup is part of the International Coastal Cleanup sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy and organized for New York state by the Northeast Chapter of the American Littoral Society. As part of the Aquarium’s mission to help promote conservation, our many years of participation has kept over 10,000 pounds of trash from littering our waterways. Come help us continue to keep even more debris from becoming a problem.
