One of the oldest and most respected makers of Lambic in the world, Brasserie Cantillon, in Brussels, Belgium will once again release a very special beer for this year’s Zwanze Day.
For 2017 Zwanze, Cantillon is releasing a two year old lambic brewed with oolong tea, a blue-green tea that is inspired by Jean’s son, Sylvian’s love for iced tea. Sylvian is turning 18 this year.
On top of the 2017 Zwanze, we’ve been informed that we are also going to be able to offer pours of Cantillon Gueuze, Cuvée St-Gilloise, Vigneronne, St-Lamvinus, and Nath (pronounced ‘Nat’ – a rhubarb lambic).
We will be opening doors at 11am with all Cantillon on tap except the Zwanze 2017 which will start pouring at 3pm. Zwanze 2017 will be served in 6oz pours so there is enough to go around.
Tickets for Zwanze pours will be capped at 160: Similar to last year, there is a very limited amount of Cantillon beer available so this will be a ticketed event. All will be able to enter the event, however, only Zwanze Day ticket holders will be served the Zwanze pours.
$25 gets a 6oz Zwanze 2017 Pour, one additional non-Zwanze 6oz Cantillon pour, and a commemorative 2017 Thin Man Zwanze Day glass. Two tickets allowed per person, per order.
Thin Man owes a huge thanks to Cantillon, Shelton Brothers and Remarkable Liquids for making this day possible.
