As if the Erie County Republican party couldn’t stoop any lower, the Erie County Republican Committee has doubled down on the crazy before this November’s election, bringing in one of the right’s biggest hypocrites to support their desperate candidate Tim Howard for Sheriff in Erie County.
It was announced this week that Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke will be the special guest at their ‘Stars and Stripes’ Gala on Nov. 3rd.

The funniest part is that the ECGOP doesn’t even have the balls to host the event in Erie County. They are hosting the event in Niagara Falls at the Seneca Niagara Casino.
“Sheriff Clarke’s apparent disregard for the US Constitution is extremely troubling,” adds Edward Fallone, a constitutional scholar who teaches at Milwaukee’s Marquette University Law School.
Clarke refers to progressives who advocate for equality and equal protection under the law as “rat bastards on the left.” And he leaves little doubt about what he would do with power.
The sheriff proposes “a suspension of habeas corpus” so that “suspected” Americans can be jailed indefinitely as part of his war-at-home program for “bold and aggressive action.”
