The Buffalo Sabres lost to the Carolina Hurricanes on February 27, 2025. The Sabres struggled to score throughout the beginning of the game, with the Hurricanes holding a 3-0 lead entering the final minutes of the first period. Forward Alex Tuch was able to get one on the board for Buffalo, scoring on the power play with one minute left in the period. JJ Peterka notched the team’s only other goal of the night, scoring off a pass from Ryan McLeod early in the second. Goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen started in net, but was swapped out with James Reimer during the first.
