Donald Trump’s attempt to claim Greenland has alarmed global observers, with commentator Sabrina Haake arguing that the former president’s rhetoric is empowering authoritarian leaders like Vladimir Putin. Writing on her Substack, Haake warned that Trump’s threats against Greenland and disregard for NATO undermine the “rule-based global order,” giving Russia leverage in its war against Ukraine and emboldening other rogue actors.
