Governor Hochul Announces Nation-Leading Proposals to Crack Down on 3D-Printed and Illegal Firearms

New York has come a long way in our battle against gun violence, but we will never get complacent. Today, we’re taking another major step in getting illegal guns off our streets.

January 7, 2026 – Albany, NY – As part of her 2026 State of the State agenda, Governor Hochul unveiled proposals to strengthen New York’s nation leading gun laws by cracking down on 3D-printed and illegal firearms.
