Trump administration officials are slamming their colleagues in the Pentagon after a new report downplayed casualty counts from recent military strikes, per a new report.

The Department of Defense turned over an annual report to Congress with a tally of civilian casualties from military strikes in 2025, and one anonymous Trump administration official called it "a f------ joke," according to reporting by The Intercept.

The report addresses allegations of civilian harm during 2025 military attacks in Somalia and Yemen, as well as boat strikes in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean, where the Pentagon insists it's fighting drug trafficking, The Intercept reported.

However, the report asserts that U.S. attacks killed no civilians during military boat strikes, despite reports that those strikes killed more than 120 civilians, according to The Intercept. A second Trump administration official called the report "a total whitewash" and "sickening," adding that the Pentagon has "absolutely no credibility."

The Intercept noted that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gutted civilian harm mitigation and response programs in the Pentagon. Although the report, which has only been released to Congress but not to the public, denied civilian deaths from the boat strikes, it found that U.S. attacks in the Middle East likely killed or wounded hundreds of civilians, The Intercept reported.

However, the second official said that the report offered "lowball numbers" for civilian casualties from U.S. attacks in Yemen. The report estimated U.S. air and naval strikes in Yemen killed 153 civilians and wounded almost 250, but the Yemen Data Project estimated that 238 civilians were killed and 467 were injured by U.S. attacks.

Both anonymous officials also pointed out that the Pentagon is still reviewing 15 cases of attacks on civilians in Yemen and that the 10-person civilian harm mitigation team at CENTCOM has been reduced to one person. The first official said it "doesn't bode well for the war in Iran," adding, "How will they get through hundreds of cases for Iran if their one civilian harm person still hasn't finished in Yemen?"

MAGA former MyPillow CEO and election denier Mike Lindell lost his bid to become the governor of Minnesota, per reports.

According to projections by NBC News and CBS News, Lindell lost to state lawmaker Lisa Demuth, who won with more than 44 percent of the vote. However, she'll face what's expected to be an uphill battle against Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar.

The result was an upset. Lindell had been leading in limited public polling heading into Election Day and carried an endorsement from President Donald Trump, according to reporting by NBC News.

However, online commentators didn't seem very upset by his loss. Lindell entered the race in December and stepped down as the MyPillow CEO this month to focus on his campaign. He built his political profile by spreading false claims that Trump won the 2020 election. A federal judge ruled last year that he defamed Smartmatic by falsely claiming its voting machines helped rig that election.

"Say good night, My Pillow guy!" wrote political commentator and former Obama White House adviser David Axelrod in a post on X. "Despite @realDonaldTrump's endorsement, Lindell loses his @GOP race for governor of Minnesota."

"He was doomed in the general against Klobuchar," wrote Democratic political strategist Mike Nellis. "But Mike Lindell falling short in Minnesota is a HUGE embarrassment to Trump after his endorsement. He looks more and more like a lame duck every single day."

"Poor Mike Lindell," joked political consultant Norman Ornstein. "He won't sleep well tonight. It could be because he lost the Republican primary for governor in Minnesota despite being endorsed by Trump. Or, more likely, it's because of his pillow."

"Apparently Minnesota Republicans have gotten tired of nominating losers," wrote radio show host Matt Forney. "Amnesty Mike Lindell got trounced and that waterbrained psycho Royce White came in a distant third in the Senate primary."

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton started chanting "U-S-A" on stage during a rally Wednesday night in a panicked attempt to drown out a person in the crowd trying to confront him over why he gave an Epstein-style sweetheart plea deal to an admitted child molester.

Paxton, President Donald Trump's scandal-plagued pick in the heated Texas Senate race, has been facing scrutiny in the fallout over a plea deal for Adam Dean Hoffman, a 49-year-old attorney accused of repeatedly sexually abusing a young boy for years, according to The Texas Tribune. Hoffman surrendered his law license, and in the deal, he was let out of jail in just days without having to register as a sex offender.

At the event at White Oak Music Hall in north Houston, he faced public questions over the decision.

"Why did you let Adam Hoffman free?" A person in the crowd yelled out at Paxton.

Paxton tried to sway the crowd and divert them to chanting instead.

"I'm going to do a little something different tonight. It's kind of risky," Paxton said, breaking into the patriotic chant.

Just before taking the stage at the event, Paxton had an aide step in between himself and a citizen asking him a critical question: "How come on a government salary you own over 15 houses?" Journalist Aaron Rupar shared video from the encounter.

Social media users called Paxton out over Hoffman and the plea deal.

"In a brutal moment, Ken Paxton’s rally was just interrupted by an attendee mad about Paxton’s Epstein-style deal for a child predator. What a disaster for MAGA," wrote X account Democratic Wins Media, which tracks campaigns and candidates.

"Notice how Paxton had to start the USA chant. His 'supporters' didn’t. Very 'please clap' vibes," wrote X user Mike in Houston, who self-describes as a 35-year veteran of the energy industry.

"If you have to drown out people asking why you released a child rapist by chanting USA, you're the f----- devil," Will Kelly, software recruiter and progressive political commentator, wrote on X.
