During a Senate Judiciary hearing, Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) thought he had Former Special Counsel Jack Smith pinned when he revealed text messages seeming to show Smith was in Atlanta despite his multiple denials under oath. It turned out that Sen. Schmitt had mixed up the team names, and Smith was actually at an Iowa Hawkeyes game in a completely different state—whoops!
