(NewsNation) — President Donald Trump slammed Israel and Iran on Tuesday as the “complete and total ceasefire” announced Monday remained shaky.
The ceasefire agreement came soon after Iran launched a limited missile attack on a U.S. military base in Qatar, retaliating for the American bombing of its nuclear sites.
But the deal faltered within hours as Israel accused Iran of launching missiles into its airspace, a salvo that Iran’s military has denied, according to state media. Trump lashed out against the countries on Tuesday, telling reporters that they both broke the ceasefire and “don’t know what the f— they’re doing.”
Exact details of the ceasefire agreement are unknown, but as of Tuesday, both Iran and Israel have acknowledged their participation despite a rough start.
Trump’s involvement in the matter has grown since the United States’ “Operation Midnight Hammer” struck three Iranian nuclear facilities — Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan — over the weekend.
Trump called the attacks a “spectacular military success” and has since floated the idea of a regime change in Iran if the “current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN.” He later walked back the idea.
