Andrew Rudnick weighs in on Health Insurance

Making a grab for $450 million in tax funds while complaining about being taxed to death sounds like hyprocrisy for most of us, but its just business as usual for the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. This years wish list includes $100 million in tax payer dollars for Rudnick’s pet project, the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

Rudick & Co. also felt it necessary to weigh in on the national health insurance debate:

  • requiring your employer to provide health insurance – bad.
  • forcing you as an indivual to buy insurance – good.
  • public option — very, very bad.

What apparently passes for logic in Rudnick land:

  • $100 million for useless infrastucture that no one needs anyway — good.
  • Reasonably priced health insurance, assured by a public option, so people can afford to go the the BNMC — bad.
