Community Shows Support for Proposed Legislation

Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper received over 800 signatures on its petition to lawmakers to support the Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act in NYS. Thank you!

This bill rightly shifts the burden of reducing plastic pollution to the producers, requiring large corporations—not local governments and taxpayers—to cover costs for reducing and recycling the packaging waste they create and generate revenue from.
