Two Appointees to Buffalo Control Board

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has filled the current vacancies on the Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority.

The two new members of the panel, charged with oversight of Buffalo’s finances, are Brigid Doherty and Richard Jurasek.

Dohery, active on several community boards and organizations, replaces Gail Johnstone. She fills a term through June 2015.

Jurasek is president of Medaille College

Also, Nils Olsen was reappointed as chairman of the nine-member board and George Arthur was reappointed as a director.

The financial control board has been in place since 2003.
