The Buffalo Bills enter their home opener coming off one of the worst opening day defeats in this team’s history. With all the off season moves to improve these football team faithful fans expected more, and were terribly disappointed. The hope of a change in the culture of being the laughing stock of the NFL over the last 12 years and emerging into a contender has been the hope of western New York this off season.

The home opener is a special period for any NFL Franchise, the atmosphere is fever pitch no matter what happened the previous. This game started with an interesting strategy by Bills head coach Chan Gailey calling plays that would help build the confidence of his quarterback. This strategy helped the Bills open to a 7- 0 lead in the first quarter.

The second quarter started with the Bills putting together another impressive drive featuring the outstanding running of CJ Spiller. Bills 14- Chiefs 0 2nd. quarter. Defensively during this game we saw the emergence of our front four as Marcell Dareus began to dominate the interior of the Kansas Chiefs offensive line .Defensive Tackle Alex Carrington of the Bills sacked and forced a fumble of Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel which led to another Buffalo touchdown with the Bills up 21-0 2nd quarter.

The offensive game plan today appeared to try to build confidence in the play of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick by centering the game plan on Cj Spiller, and safe short passes when necessary… Defensively I think we are starting to see how dominating this defense can be without the offense turning the ball over. Bills 28- Chiefs 3

This was no doubt one of the best performances by the Bills in a home opener in which they had to bounce back from a bad opening day loss to the New York Jets. This week they must prove that they can go on the road, and beat the Cleveland Browns in the same manner.
