The WNY Peace Center, created as part of Rev. Dr. King’s Clergy & Laity Concerned in 1967, has been working together for “Peace through Justice at home and abroad” ever since. The anti-war and anti-nuclear movements have been central to the WNYPC since its inception, and Medea has graced a number of WNYPC events over the years (from protests at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station to keynoting the WNYPC Annual Dinner).

Fitz Books & Waffles, renowned locally for its great array of books (new and used), and scrumptious Liege waffles, a delicious confectionary treat popular in eastern Belgium, is starting a reading revolution to counter American fascism and white supremacy. It’s also blossoming as a shining light for speakers, artists, authors and activist to share and connect, and work toward liberation. Fitz is opening specially for this excellent event.
