Hochul says New York will pause hyperscale AI data centers while rules are written
Governor Kathy Hochul told the Wall Street Journal that New York is temporarily pausing new hyperscale AI data centers (50 MW+) while it writes rules to protect ratepayers, communities and infrastructure, and said existing facilities and smaller projects can continue.
