Buffalo Niagara Honor Flight Set for Second Mission

th, 43 Veterans will be taking off on the second mission for the newly reorganized, Buffalo Niagara Honor Flight.  There will be a sendoff ceremony starting at 7:00am at the Buffalo Niagara international Airport, with the returning flight arriving at 10:30pm. The Veterans fly from Buffalo to Baltimore, Maryland, where they spend a day visiting the downtown Washington DC War Memorials, including Iwo Jima, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as the Vietnam, World War I and World War II Memorials. Of the 43 Veterans on this mission, 28 veterans are from World War II, 13 are from the Korean War, and One is a Vietnam Veteran.  Each Veteran is accompanied by a Buffalo Niagara Honor Flight volunteer, many of which are new to the revamped organization. The community is invited and encouraged to attend the sendoff at 7:00am and homecoming ceremony at 10:30pm at the airport, to help the heroes on this flight celebrate their special day.
