Amherst: shots fired at vehicle on I-990; no injuries

Amherst police say a vehicle was shot at early July 9 on I-990 at Audubon Parkway. No one was struck or injured.

According to the department, officers were called at about 3:54 a.m. after a victim reported seeing a man approach a driveway and get into the victimu2019s vehicle. The victim then followed another vehicle they believed was involved onto I-990, where someone leaned out a window and fired several shots.

The Amherst Police Department says the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 716-689-1311.
