Buffalo Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Pascal Mubenga has resigned after serving just under a year in the role.
The Buffalo Board of Education voted Monday during a special meeting to accept his resignation. A BPS spokesperson said the resignation is effective immediately.
The board also voted to appoint Dr. Ebony Prophet-Bullock as interim superintendent. Her appointment is set to take effect July 14.
