Stacy Spencer, 60, of Niagara Falls, was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison after his conviction for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and being a felon in possession of a firearm, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of New York announced July 15, 2026.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, a 2021 investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Niagara Falls Police Department included four controlled purchases of cocaine linked to Spencer. On May 2, 2022, law enforcement executed search warrants at Spencer’s residence and at an Ontario Avenue property in Niagara Falls that prosecutors say he used in his trafficking activities.
Officers found a locked safe in the Ontario Avenue basement that contained about 93.5 grams of cocaine and a pistol. Authorities also seized approximately $6,385 in cash from Spencer. Prosecutors note Spencer had prior felony convictions in October 1993 and October 2009 in Niagara and Erie Counties and is therefore prohibited from possessing a firearm.
U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara imposed the 24-month prison term. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael J. Adler and was the result of an investigation by the DEA, New York Field Division, under Special Agent-in-Charge Farhana Islam, and the Niagara Falls Police Department, under Chief Nick Ligammari.
