The Adam Mickiewicz Library & Dramatic Circle (AMLDC) has been hosting an annual celebration on the anniversary of the adoption of Polish Constitution for years. The last few years they have teamed up with the Polish Happy Hour to help celebrate the event.
Polish Constitution Day is May 3rd.
The event at AMLDC features a reading of the constitution’s preamble. The Polish Happy Hour will also be coming to help celebrate. Polish Happy Hour is a roaming happy hour that stops at various places around Buffalo and Western New York to bring Polish people together to network and celebrate Polish Pride. It seems a like a natural pairing that they would come to the AMLDC on Polish Constitution Day.
The events start at 5:00pm and last until 11:00pm on Friday, May3rd. The AMLDC has one of the largest selections of ethnic and craft beers in Buffalo. It also has an extensive selection of Polish books in its library.
There will be free food and admission is free as well.
The AMLDC is located at 612 Fillmore Avenue in the heart of East Buffalo’s Historic Polonia.

The Polish Constitution is a big deal, here’s why. The constitution of May 3rd, 1791 (Polish: Konstytucja 3 maja) was adopted by the Great Sejm (parliament) of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, a dual monarchy comprising Poland and Lithuania.
