Statement from Cheektowaga Democratic Committee Chair Lynn Dearmyer
We received the attached police report and video of Councilmember Michael Jasinski threatening a resident at a recent taxpayers meeting, using phrases such as “I’m going to kill you” and “I will destroy you”.
This sort of intimidating, menacing behavior is unacceptable, and our elected officials should be held to a much higher standard than this.
We call on the Cheektowaga Republican Committee, as well as the Republican endorsed council candidates running alongside Councilmember Jasinski this year, to denounce the councilmember’s behavior. Anything less would be an endorsement of it.
