The Erie County Department of Environment & Planning
held the 2025 Earth Day Celebration and Environmental Award Ceremony at
the Northland Workforce Training Center in Buffalo.
The fun, free, family-friendly event featured more than 20 local organizations, along with
prize giveaways, hands-on activities, and a presentation of environmental awards.
Winners of the Erie County Environmental Management Council Environmental Excellence Awards Program and the WNY Stormwater Coalitions’ Rain Barrel Painting Contest were recognized by Deputy County Executive Lisa Chimera.
