Erie County Hold Women’s History Month Kickoff and Awards Event


Deputy Erie County Executive Lisa M. Chimera and Commissioner of Public Advocacy, Director of the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women (ECCSW) Karen King, welcome honorees and their guests to the 2026 Women’s History Month Kickoff event.

In recognition of the 2026 Women’s History Month theme, "Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future," five local women have been selected as this year’s honorees. A legacy award will also be presented.
