Shea’s Buffalo Theatre will host Shea’s Winter Wonderland on Saturday, Nov. 21, bringing holiday music, dance, family activities and a classic holiday film to downtown Buffalo.
The event runs from noon to 3 p.m. in the theatre lobbies and auditorium at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre, 650 Main St. Activities in the theatre lobbies will include a free photo with Santa, strolling carolers from The American Caroling Company and craft tables under a “Holidays Around the World” theme led by Raices Theatre Company, Ujima Theatre Company and the Jewish Community Center/Jewish Repertory Theatre, among others. Food and drink options will include a hot cocoa bar, specialty cocktails and concessions such as pizza, popcorn and cookies.
At 1 p.m., the auditorium program will feature live performances — including a dance number from Neglia Ballet’s The Nutcracker and a medley by St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute Swing Choir — a rendition of “Let It Go” from Disney’s Frozen and a holiday sing-along accompanied by the theatre’s Wurlitzer organ. After the performances, organizers will screen the holiday classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on the big screen.
Admission is $10 for adults; children 12 and under are admitted free. Tickets are available at Shea’s Box Office at 650 Main St. or online at www.sheas.org/performances/winter-wonderland.
The family-focused event is presented by Shea’s Performing Arts Center.
